Ph.D. in Rural Development
Prof. V. Reddappa Reddy had his Masters in Economics from Sri Venkateswara University and Ph.D. in Rural Development from Sri Krishnadevaraya University. After a five-year stint in Government service he joined the University in 1989 and was elevated as Professor of Rural Development in 1997 and has served in the same position till his retirement in June 2016.
While in University he also served in different administrative positions including Head of the Department, Chairman, Board of Studies, Director, Distance Education, Convener, SVURPGCET, Convener, PECET and Coordinator, Special Assistance Program supported by University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
His books include Social Satisfaction Survey: A Practical Help line in Techniques and Methods, Toolkit for Conducting Base Line Survey, Six Essential Steps in Implementing CSR, Participatory Forest Management: Theory and Practice-A Field Level Assessment and Rural Glory. His 35 papers appeared in National and International journals.
Government of Andhra Pradesh has conferred on him the Best Teacher award during 2013. His areas of interest include Corporate Social Responsibility, Natural Resources Management and Monitoring and Evaluation. He served as Consultant to National and International Agencies like FHI, CARE, SOCHURSOD, UltraTech, CAPART and SERP.
He currently lives at Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh often moving outside depending on offers of consultancy and fieldwork.
